West Brom make offer for Premier League champion

The West Brom fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Football Transfer Tavern are quite astounded by reports that the club have made a move for a current Premier League champion.

According to a report in The Telegraph, the Premier League side have offered champions, Leicester City £9m to bring Jeffrey Schlupp to The Hawthorns this summer.

Tony Pulis has put the player to the top of his wanted list and sees him as the left-back the club so desperately require ahead of the new season.

The 23-year-old played a role towards the end of last season’s shock title success at Leicester.

The deal will all come down to whether or not Ben Chilwell leaves the Foxes or not as manager Caludio Ranieri would loathe losing two defenders within days of each other.

Should the Ghanaian international make the move to the Baggies he will become the club’s second signing of the summer following the £5m addition of Matt Phillips from QPR.

West Brom fans, we want to hear from you! Would Schlupp be a good addition to the side? Can Pulis tempt him away from the King Power? Let us know below…
