West Bromwich Albion fans in the Transfer Tavern will ultimately be disappointed with how their season has gone with the club being relegated from the Premier League.
The locals have seen the Baggies struggle all season to pick up points under Alan Pardew, however, since Darren Moore took over, they have not tasted defeat. A number of the punters in the bar are furious that it had taken as long as it had to make a change, with many feeling they would still have a chance if it had happened earlier.
Those in the Tavern are not the only ones to have been impressed with what the caretaker manager has done with the team, with Sky Sports reporting that he is set to hold talks with the board about his future at the Hawthorns once they play their final game against Crystal Palace.
Moore has gone unbeaten in his five games in charge and has appeared as a serious contender for the permanent job, having beaten Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the process.
The Albion fans in the Tavern will be happy if Moore gets the job on a full-time basis as they believe he has worked wonders for the side. Since he took over, he has managed to shore up the defence, whilst also adding goals.
Despite his inexperience of guiding a top club, he has proved to everyone that he has the ability to do it, having been named as Premier League Manager of the Month for April and many of the locals will be looking to see what he can do in the Championship environment.
