West Brom not keen on experienced coach as Baggies weigh up options ahead of next season

West Bromwich Albion fans will be in the Transfer Tavern wondering who their next manager will be next season, where they appear they will be playing football in the Championship.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the Baggies are not interested in bringing Mick McCarthy to The Hawthorns after he threw his hat into the ring. The report claims the out-going Ipswich Town boss is not on their radar and they will look to continue their search over the coming weeks.

It is claimed Derek McInnes, Michael Appleton and Dean Smith are being lined up as early front-runners, although no moves have been made yet, as Darren Moore takes over for the remainder of the season.

Locals in the Tavern would be interested in the possibility of McInnes taking over the helm as he was a former player and captain at The Hawthorns, however, he has turned down the likes of Rangers and Sunderland to carry on the job he has been doing at Aberdeen.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Brom fans in the Tavern will be watching with optimism that they can attract a manager with an impressive form to help guide them back to the Premier League, should Moore be able to steer the ship from an unlikely drop and McInnes could be the man they turn to.

West Brom fans, who do you want to see at The Hawthorns from next season? Let us know below!
