West Brom seemingly prepared to offer key man new deal as future looks bright

Our West Brom fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very pleased with the work Tony Pulis has done this season and – according to The Express & Star – he could be about to get rewarded for it.

The men from The Hawthorns have been flying this season and could reach the Europa League places come the end of the year if they keep their foot firmly on the gas.

That would mark a very good season indeed for the Baggies, then, and it certainly appears that they want to keep their former Stoke boss in charge for the foreseeable future.

Pulis has a contract in the Midlands until the end of next season but could sign an extension in the summer of this year.

Indeed, chairman John Williams has hinted that will be the case in saying:

“I could see see no reason why Tony’s contract won’t be renewed.

“It doesn’t have to be a five-year contract, it could be renewed annually for the next five years, it depends.”

Positive words for Pulis to hear, then, whilst he’ll be looking to get the most out of his players until the end of the campaign.

Our West Brom fans here by the bar have certainly enjoyed this season and hope to see their club progress towards the biggest sides in the division over the coming years.
