They are elated after reading a report from the Daily Mail that has linked their club with a move for Liverpool outcast Jose Enrique.
It is reported that West Bromwich Albion sent scouts to watch the defender play for Liverpool Under 21’s in their match against Leicester City.
West Brom were reportedly interested in the player during the summer, but viewed paying a fee, and matching his £65,000 a week wages as too rich for them to consider.
The 29-year-old has been frozen out at Anfield so far this season, and it looks as though Liverpool could well be up for moving the player on to save on wages.
Enrique has pretty much been frozen out of the Liverpool side since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers as manager of the club, making just 41 appearance in the last three seasons.
During his career he has played for Levante, Valencia, Celta Vigo and Villarreal, before making the move to the Premier League with Newcastle United.
The left back has represented Spain at youth levels but to date has never won a full international cap for his country.
The West Brom fans are clearly jubilant at the news that they are in for the left back, who in their excitement have spilt beer all over the floor in The Transfer Tavern.
West Brom fans, is Enrique the type of player you should be looking to sign?
