The West Brom fans in the Transfer Tavern have made it quite clear that they want a new striker in the summer transfer window.
We have heard plenty of names being discussed from their booth in the Transfer Tavern but one particular striker keeps popping up: Troy Deeney.
After failing to land Troy Deeney last year, it seems like a logical move to reignite that interest.
And that is exactly what West Bromwich Albion are planning to do, according to a report by The Mirror.
According to this report, there are two main English strikers on Tony Pulis’ summer wishlist.
However, the Baggies boss is unsure if he can afford his other target, Jermain Defoe.
The England international is set to leave Sunderland in the summer after they were relegated and a number of teams such as Bournemouth and West Ham are lining up swoops for the veteran forward.
If they cannot land Defoe, they will turn their attention back to Troy Deeney.
Originally from Birmingham, a move back to the West Midlands might appeal to the experienced striker.
The 28-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Watford as he has a strained relationship with boss Walter Mazzarri so he might be open to this move in the summer.
