Some bad news today courtesy of the Sun for our West Bromwich Albion supporters here in the Transfer Tavern, after The Sun quoted Baggies chairman Jeremy Pearce as stating that star man Saido Berahino would be sold if they received a bid of £30 million.
The England Under-21 international has been the subject of several bids already this transfer window with Newcastle United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly keen to sign the player.
The chairman of the West Midlands-based club has claimed that due to the three interested parties desperation to sign a striker, it will inevitably push them to spend way more than the initial valuation which was around half of the new price.
One Baggies supporter is ready for the karaoke night here in the Tavern and thinks it would be great if the club can recoup that sort of money for the striker, but doubts if they can given the player’s current patchy form.
West Brom fans… Should the club stick with or sell Berahino? Let us know in the comments below!
