West Brom fans in The Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to see their side make some positive additions to push further up the Premier League next season, so they may be encouraged to hear they’re chasing a Premier League champion.
West Brom are continuing to pursue Leicester City star, Jeffrey Schlupp after having a £9m bid rejected, according to the Leicester Mercury.
Not deterred by their initial rejection, it has been reported that the Baggies are preparing a second bid, and are even willing to offer the Premier League winner double his current wage.
Having signed a new contract last summer, it is likely to take a considerable bid to pry Schlupp from the Foxes, with the 23-year-old very much in Claudio Ranieri’s plans.
Used vastly as an impact sub last season, Ghanaian international made 26 appearances, and bagged himself a single goal during the famous title winning season.
The versatile player has been at the club for his entire career, starting off as a youth player in 2005, the only other club he has played for was Brentford during a one month loan spell in 2011.
What do you think West Brom fans?! Would Schlupp make a good signing? Leicester fans, how much money would you want for Jeff Schlupp? Let us know in the comments below…
