West Bromwich Albion fans here in the Tavern are hoping that the club can find a suitable replacement for Alan Pardew, after another defeat in their last outing.
The Baggies have had a season to forget as relegation to the Championship is looking inevitable, with the Midlands club currently 10 points off escaping the relegation zone with only seven games left to play. Indeed, Alan Pardew’s days are numbered as West Bromwich Albion boss, with questions being raised as to who his successor should be.
Although, according to reports in the Telegraph, West Brom are eyeing Leicester City’s assistant manager Michael Appleton as a potential replacement for the under-fire Alan Pardew.
But, the Landlord here in the Tavern believes that this would be another reckless decision, with his only impressive managerial achievement being two wins in as many games as Leicester City’s caretaker manager after the sacking of Craig Shakespeare. And, the former Oxford United boss is yet to take permanent charge of a team in the English top-flight, with it being a huge risk for the Baggies to bring him in to lead a potential Championship title challenge.
Nevertheless, we’re asking supporters, should Appleton get the West Bromwich Albion job?
