West Bromwich Albion fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are fearing the loss of Saido Berahino after the Daily Mail revealed how Tony Pulis has made an enquiry for Watford’s prolific hitman Troy Deeney.
The Baggies will face competition from Swansea City for the powerful former Walsall forward however as they too look set to lose their talisman in the form of Wilfried Bony.
The fact that Pulis is targeting an extra striker has just sparked speculation that Deeney will come in as a replacement for Liverpool and Tottenham target Berahino.
It is no shock that the Championship striker is picking up interest from the top flight after scoring 69 goals in just four-and-a-half years at Vicarage Road.
If Swansea and West Brom lose their star players, they will similarly both have money to burn which means this saga could go on until final few days of the transfer window.
Berahino fuelled rumours of a switch away from The Hawthorns after he failed to celebrate after any of his four strikes against Gateshead in the FA Cup last weekend.
West Brom fans. Do you think that Saido Berahino didn’t celebrate out of respect to Gateshead or is he trying to push for a move to Liverpool? Let us know your thoughts below.
