West Bromwich Albion looking to secure deal for clinical Premier League striker

The landlord of the Football Transfer Tavern has been told that West Bromwich Albion want to sign Watford striker Odion Ighalo (via Sky Sports).

The West Brom supporters at the tavern bar had been expecting Diafra Sakho to come in from West Ham, but since he failed his medical, Albion have turned their attention to the Watford star.

West Bromwich Albion have said that they will only allow want away striker Saido Berahino to leave once they have signed a replacement, and Ighalo seems to be the man that they are turning to.

West Brom will be getting around £20 million if they do sell Berahino, with Watford, Stoke City and Crystal Palace said to be interested and so Albion will most likely be willing to spend around that amount on their new striker.

Watford will be wary of letting Ighalo leave the club, after he scored 15 Premier League goals last season and finished as the club’s top scorer.

West Brom fans… Surely you’d like to see Ighalo through the door? Let us know below!
