Dwight Gayle could start for West Brom

West Bromwich Albion will be looking for their first win of the Championship season when they meet Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Darren Moore has seen his side fall to a late winner against Bolton Wanderers, whilst also rescuing a late point against Nottingham Forest.

He will be desperate for his side to pick up the three points this weekend and could be boosted by the fact that he may be able to start one of his latest additions.

According to a match preview by BBC Sport, the Baggies could look to start Dwight Gayle following his loan move from Newcastle United.

The striker came off the bench against Nottingham Forest and looked lively, having the chance to find a winner but struck the post late on.

Craig Dawson remains a doubt for the clash with the Canaries, as Moore will look to continue to monitor the defender’s ongoing thigh problem.

The Verdict:

West Brom will feel confident that they can get something from the game with Norwich following the arrival of Gayle.

The forward has proven to be prolific in the Championship and the Baggies will be hoping he can get his goal tally started against the Canaries.

With the added bonus that the club did not lose any of their players on deadline-day, West Brom will still be considered as one of the teams to challenge for promotion and Moore will want to see the performances improve.
