Nacer Chadli holds positive talks with Besiktas

West Bromwich Albion would have been hopeful that they could have kept some of their best players at the Hawthorns following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Baggies have already lost a number of their talented squad and are expected to lose a few more as the transfer window starts to come to a close and Darren Moore has been working hard to ensure his squad is in a position to challenge for promotion back to the top-flight.

However, he may have to do it without Nacer Chadli as reports in Turkey are starting to suggest that the Belgium international could be at a different club by the start of the season.

According to CNN Turk, Besiktas are thought to have been in talks with the winger about a move to Istanbul and he is thought to be keen on a possible switch.

The Super Lig outfit have also made contact with West Brom about taking the former Tottenham Hotspur man off their hands and it now appears that a deal could be likely.

The Verdict:

Chadli has been rumoured to leave the Hawthorns ever since the club’s fate was determined.

The winger had an impressive World Cup with Belgium, which will have only helped his desire to get a move away from the Baggies and it appears Turkey could be a viable destination.

It is unknown how much West Brom could get for the 28-year-old, however, they will be hopeful of recouping some of the £13million they spent on him two years ago.
