Nacer Chadli on the verge of completing West Brom exit

One of West Bromwich Albion’s want-away stars could finally get the move away from The Hawthorns he has been looking for.

According to a report by RMC Sport, Nacer Chadli is thought to be closing in on a move to AS Monaco.

The Belgium international is thought to cost the Ligue One outfit in the region of €12million and is expected to undergo a medical later in the afternoon (Thursday).

It is believed the Baggies were keen on keeping the former Tottenham Hotspur winger following his successful World Cup campaign, however, it is understood the 29-year-old is not interested in playing his football at the Championship level.

A move had looked bleak for Chadli at times this summer, with club’s thought to have been put off by the price that West Brom had wanted, but it now appears that the player could finally get the move he wants.

The Verdict:

Chadli is thought to have been pushing for a move away from West Brom ever since their relegation to the Championship was confirmed.

A move looked unlikely at times throughout the summer, despite an impressive showing at the World Cup, but now it looks as though he could get his wish.

The Baggies will now need to find a player in the final couple of days of the transfer window to replace him, but will also know that it is best for everyone involved to see the 29-year-old leave.
