Given West Brom’s current financial state, we have been discussing which players are surplus to requirements.
One of those players looks to be Wes Hoolahan, whose contract at the club expires at the end of the month. He has only featured four times in the league, all from the bench, and must be a drain on the wage bill. Should sensation Harvey Barnes stay at the club after January, Hoolahan should be out the door in order to save money.
With that in mind, we asked whether you agreed, and these were the results:
Clearly, Hoolahan is not a popular man at West Brom, as over half the fans want him gone no matter what happens in January, with an additional 23% wanting him gone if Barnes stays.
What is interesting is that there is still a portion of fans, at 21% who still see a place for the Republic of Ireland international; it’s just whether manager Darren Moore agrees with them.
