West Brom confirm Kyle Bartley deal

West Bromwich Albion have been trying to make the best of their situation this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Baggies have lost a number of players this summer following their drop to the second-tier and Darren Moore has been working hard to reduce the blows suffered to them.

The club have already signed Sam Johnstone to replace Ben Foster and have now confirmed on their official website that a defender has joined them to help ease the loss of Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley.

West Brom have confirmed the signing of Kyle Bartley from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal. It is believed that it would have been in the region of £7million.

The defender has been the subject of plenty of interest from a number of clubs, including former sides Rangers and Leeds United, however, the 27-year-old has decided to head to The Hawthorns.

The Verdict:

Bartley will be a solid addition to West Brom this summer as they look to try and get back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The defender has proven to be solid at the Championship level following his spell with Leeds and Moore will be hoping he can fill the void left by the likes of Evans and McAuley.
