West Brom could spend in January

West Bromwich Albion could be active in the January transfer window, should they be required to make changes to their squad.

According to a report by the Express and Star, it is understood that the Baggies could have around £7million to spend on new players in the New Year.

It is largely thought that a chunk of that money came from the sale of Nacer Chadli last week, who joined Ligue One outfit AS Monaco in a deal thought to be around £10m.

Darren Moore made a number of signings this summer to try and help improve his team following their relegation from the Premier League, however, it is believed he still would have liked to have added a couple more faces.

The Hawthorns outfit have had a decent start to life in the Championship, including a 7-1 victory against Queens Park Rangers, and do not appear to be missing the players that left the Hawthorns during the transfer window.

The Verdict:

It is encouraging news for those involved with West Brom that they could have a rather large financial pot to use in the January market.

Moore may look to use some of the money thought to be available to bring players to the Baggies that will help them continue to push and achieve their aims.

However, with plenty of football left to be played between now and the next transfer window, it remains to be seen how the Hawthorns outfit performs and what kind of position they will be following the turn of the year.
