West Brom expected to make changes for Mansfield clash

West Bromwich Albion will welcome Mansfield Town to The Hawthorns on Tuesday night as they look to progress to the next round of the League Cup.

According to a match preview by Sky Sports, Darren Moore is expected to make a number of changes for the game, although he is still expected to field a strong side.

It is understood that he could go back to the same side that defeated Luton Town in the previous round, with the likes of Boaz Myhill, Sam Field, Conor Townsend and Oliver Burke all in contention to make a return to the starting XI.

Hal Robson-Kanu, James Morrison and Craig Dawson could also feature for the Baggies, although the likes of Jay Rodriguez, Dwight Gayle and Matt Phillips are unlikely to be involved.

West Brom will not want to suffer a shock defeat to the League Two outfit and will want to put in a confident performance as they prepare to face Stoke City in the Championship at the weekend.

The Verdict:

West Brom should be considered huge favourites for the game, however, Moore will not want his side to take a complacent approach.

The Baggies managed to scrape through against Luton in the previous round and they will be wanting to make sure they have a more enjoyable night this Thursday.

With the experienced players at their disposal, West Brom should ease themselves into the next round of the League Cup.
