West Bromwich Albion have looked rather impressive so far this season as they push towards promotion to the Premier League.
There’s no doubt that the Baggies will be up there come the end of the season, with Darren Moore managing to ensure consistency at the Hawthorns in recent times. However, they did fail in their attempts to secure a player on deadline day yesterday, as according to Sun Sport, West Brom failed with a £15 million bid for Bradley Dack.
Darren Moore failed in a record £15 million bid for Blackburn Rovers star Bradley Dack.
So, under the terms of the deal West Brom proposed, they would have signed Dack on an initial loan basis before making the deal permanent when the winter window opens in January.
Indeed, the 24-year-old was an ideal target after losing Nacer Chadli to Monaco, with Darren Moore being an admirer of the Blackburn midfielder.
The Baggies will be gutted that they failed to secure the services of Bradley Dack as they’ll now have to wait until the January transfer window to replace Chadli.
Indeed, the Belgian was incredible at the World Cup during the summer, but it was always going to be difficult to keep him as he was arguably playing well below his pay-grade in the Championship.
So, the Midlands club need to do their best to move on from the deadline day heartbreak by putting in good performances on the field to challenge for promotion.
