West Brom in talks with Simon Moore about switch

West Bromwich Albion have had an eventful transfer window this summer and it looks as though it shows no sign of slowing down.

The Baggies have been suffering from the fallout of being relegated from the Premier League, which has seen a number of their players leave or push for an exit.

Darren Moore will be desperate to keep the majority of his squad at The Hawthorns this summer as they prepare for the upcoming Championship season, however, he has contingency plans in place just in case.

Albion have already added Sam Johnstone, whilst Kyle Bartley looks to complete a switch from Swansea City, however, it appears another goalkeeper is on their radar.

According to a report by Football Insider, West Brom are in talks with Sheffield United’s Simon Moore about a possible move.

Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill both left the club this summer and the Baggies are keen to add another goalkeeper to provide Johnstone with competition as well as cover.

The Verdict:

A move for the 28-year-old could be a good thing as he has found his playing time at Bramall Lane reduced significantly over the years.

The Blades have just signed a new shot-stopper as well so Moore may find it difficult to re-establish himself, whilst the challenge on offer at The Hawthorns could reinvigorate his career.
