West Brom re-sign Boaz Myhill

West Bromwich Albion have been making sure their side is in a position this summer to challenge for a place back in the Premier League.

The Baggies were relegated to the Championship following an abysmal campaign and Darren Moore has been working hard to ensure he still has a squad capable of challenging for promotion.

The Hawthorns have been trying to limit the damaged caused by the players that have already departed from the club, although many more of their stars are thought to be pushing for a move before the end of the transfer window.

Moore has made a number of signings to try and counter-act the fallout and his latest will see one player return to the club, after initially leaving following the expiration of his contract.

According to a statement released by the club’s official website, Boaz Myhill has decided to rejoin the outfit on a one-year deal after the Baggies reached out to him again.

The Verdict:

It makes sense for West Brom to bring Myhill back to The Hawthorns as he will be able to provide a huge amount of experience to the squad.

With Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond both arriving, the 35-year-old is unlikely to see much first-team action this season and could be a helping hand for the new recruits.

However, should disaster strike the Baggies, he would be a more than capable recruit for the side as they look to get back to the Premier League.
