West Brom’s Kieran Gibbs attracting Torino interest

West Bromwich Albion have been preparing for their upcoming Championship campaign with some new recruits, however, they could still see a number of players leave before the transfer window closes.

Darren Moore has been tasked with getting the Baggies back to the Premier League, however, his job has not been made any easier this summer with the departures that have already taken place at The Hawthorns.

The club have already lost the likes of Ben Foster, Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans, although the new manager has done well to replace them with the likes of Sam Johnstone and Kyle Bartley.

Salomon Rondon, Nacer Chadli and Craig Dawson are amongst a group of players who have all been linked with moves away, however, another name has been added to that list with interest from Italy thought to be strong.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Kieran Gibbs is on the radar of Serie A outfit Torino and the club have already made initial contact about a deal for the former Arsenal man.

It is being claimed the Italian outfit may make a move to bring the England international on a loan deal initially, with a view to a permanent contract next summer.

The Verdict:

The 28-year-old failed to make a real impact with the Baggies having arrived from Arsenal in 2017.

Big things were expected of the full-back, however, he struggled to help them retain their Premier League status and could be offloaded this summer, should West Brom get the right offer for him.

It is unlikely the club will get the £7million they paid the Gunners for him, although Torino are considering their options, which could mean a move may not happen in the first place.
