West Bromwich Albion are rumoured to be taking on American goalkeeper Abdul ‘Bill’ Hamid.
Hamid is currently registered with DC United, but has been on trial at the Hawthorns for the last 10 days.
Currently he is understudy to Everton’s Tim Howard as USA’s goalkeeper, but he is a regular in the squad.
This means he will be with the national team for their games against France and Slovenia, after which it is suspected Roy Hodgson will make a final decision on whether to take him on or not.
West Brom have quite a few goalkeeping options; their current number one is Ben Foster with second choice Marton Fulop, both are very capable between the sticks.
The baggies also have Luke Daniels currently on loan to Southend in League 2, as well as Boaz Myhill (another useful keeper) who is on loan at Birmingham.
