West Ham United fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing comments made by one of their players regarding a move to a Premier League rival.
The Independent is reporting that West Ham loan star Manuel Lanzini is reportedly honoured to be linked with a possible move to Liverpool in the future.
The Argentine on loan from Al Jazira Club has been a star performer for Slaven Bilic’s side so far, he managed a late consolation goal during yesterday’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Speaking about his future Lanzini said:
“I heard the president say that the club wants me to stay. I am fine here. It’s an absolute honour that a team like Liverpool has put an eye on me, but at moment I am fully focused on West Ham.”
“When you get a positive result you work better during the week. We have all the support of our fans and the club’s board members are doing an important effort for making us strong.”
The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are not surprised that other Premier League sides are hovering around Lanzini but hope he will remain at the club following his loan as the new era for the club begins at the Olympic Stadium next season.
