West Ham and West Brom join Aston Villa in the race for 6’6” defender

The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern are still jubilant following yesterday’s fine display against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Hammers guaranteed their Premier League survival and dented their rivals’ title hopes in the same match with a thoroughly deserved 1-0 win at the London Stadium.

The West Ham fans by the bar have been praising the success of this new formation which includes three centre backs.

It has contributed to three clean sheets in a row but if one of James Collins, Winston Reid or Jose Fonte gets injured, then West Ham will have to switch back to two centre halves.

If Bilic wants to continue playing this formation, he might need to add another centre back (considering Ogbonna’s injury woes) and a Championship defender is reportedly on West Ham’s radar.

6’6” no-nonsense centre back Aden Flint is attracting attention from West Ham and West Brom, according to The Sun.

Brisotl City manager Lee Johnson has admitted that he might struggle keeping his towering goal scoring defender at the club this summer, especially if Premier League sides are interested.

Aston Villa have also been linked in the past but they might not be able to compete with the lure of the Premier League which West Ham and West Brom can offer.
