West Ham United could be forced to head into the transfer market this January especially with the number of injuries they have already had this season.
The centre-midfield area has become a problem for Manuel Pellegrini so far, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Carlos Sanchez all having to spend significant time on the sidelines, whilst Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang have all missed time recently with injuries and suspension.
The Hammers spent big in the summer, however, it appears that the London Stadium outfit could be prepared to do so again this winter, with reports in Italy suggesting that they have one of Serie A’s stars on their radar.
However, it is believed AC Milan have turned down that offer as they deem it too low, whilst Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan are also believed to be keen on the Ivorian.
West Ham are keen to add strength and depth to their squad and Kessie could certainly be an attractive option for Pellegrini to consider.
Milan are thought to be open to the idea of allowing their midfielder leaving, despite having been at the club for just over a year, although it appears that the Hammers will need to significantly up their offer of €35m.
The Ivory Coast international has a lot of potential, having been linked with a number of top Premier League clubs in the past, and with the idea that he will prefer a move to Europe should he have to leave the San Siro, West Ham could land a real coup.
