The West Ham United fans who are taking part in a pool tournament this evening in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports they are interested in a Norweegian international midfielder.
Sky Sports is reporting that West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed that the club are looking to bring Borussia Monchengladbach man Havard Nordtveit to the club during the summer.
Nordtveit’s contract with the Bundesliga side expires at the end of the season meaning that he could make the move to East London without costing a penny.
The Norwiegen international began his career as a teenager with Arsenal before making the move to Germany where he has carved out a successful career for himself.
Bilic admits it won’t be plain sailing in securing the players signature as other clubs are now also showing an interest in the talented midfielder. Speaking about Nordtveit,Bilic said:
“Many clubs are interested in Nordtveit and monitoring the situation. We are also interested in him.”
The West Ham fans in The Tavern are delighted the club are interested in someone of Nordtveit’s calibre and hope the lure of the Olympic Stadium will be enough to entice him to sign on for next season.
