West Ham boss rules out big money January signings

biliccc09West Ham United fans currently playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that the club do not expect any big money signings during the winter window.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that, despite the club’s current injury problems, they will not be making any major additions to their squad next month.

The East London side have suffered a horrendous run of injuries with Dimitri Payet and Diafara Sakho out for three months, and star performer of the season Manuel Lanzini, who is set for six weeks out after picking up an injury in training ahead of Saturday’s game at Manchester United.

During that game, things didn’t get any better with Victor forced off minutes before the end of the first half.

West Ham have made an excellent start to the Premier League this season under Slaven Bilic, and currently find themselves in seventh place on 23 points after 15 Premier League games played so far.

The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are happy that the club won’t be spending big money panic buying during the window, and are confident that the club could find a player in the loan market who can cover whilst players recover from injury.

Hammers fans, what can your squad realistically achieve this season? Let us know in the comments below!
