West Ham closing in on massive swoop for duo – report

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had something to be excited about this summer, a feeling that many of the locals have not been able to enjoy in recent years.

The arrival of Manuel Pellegrini will have filled many of the residents with confidence that their club is going the right way in terms of ambition, however, they will want to wait and see how the team performs on the pitch.

Much of how they will play will be down to the additions they make, with the former Manchester City boss already signing three, however, according to reports, he could be about to make a double swoop in the near future.

Sky Sports are claiming that the Hammers are closing in on deals for Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko this summer. The England international is expected to sign on a free transfer following his release from Arsenal, whilst the Ukrainian is set for a switch to the London Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £17.5million.

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the Tavern would be delighted to bring the talented pair to the club this summer as both would immediately add quality to their side, something that Pellegrini has been desperate to add.

Yarmolenko knows how to find the back of the net, as well as creating a number of chances, whilst Wilshere will be able to use his knowledge and experience to help guide the Hammers up the Premier League table.
