West Ham United are thought to be closing in on their first addition of the winter transfer window.
The Hammers have had a number of injury concerns throughout the first half of the season which has led to speculation that they could look to add reinforcements to their squad.
Samir Nasri has been training with the Premier League outfit over the last month or so after becoming a free agent following his departure from Antalyaspor.
The midfielder, who won the Premier League with Manchester City under Pellegrini, is approaching the end of his drugs ban and West Ham are thought to be preparing to offer him a deal until the end of the season.
A move for Nasri could be an inspired addition for West Ham and Pellegrini as they look to try and climb the Premier League table.
The playmaker is an experienced professional and has arguably played some of his best football under the Chilean boss.
A six-month deal could be great for both parties, as Nasri could look to get back to playing regular football whilst the Hammers could benefit from having him in the team as their injury concerns continue to happen.
