West Ham United have confirmed that one player has left the London Stadium this summer as Manuel Pellegrini continues to make changes to his squad.
The 22-year-old was not thought to be a part of Pellegrini’s plans this summer and he will be hoping to make an impact in Serie A for La Viola.
West Ham have spent a lot of money on a number of players during the transfer window, including heavily in the midfielder, leaving the Switzerland international to rethink his future at the Hammers.
The Irons did not enjoy the best of starts over the weekend after they were heavily beaten by Liverpool at Anfield.
Pellegrini decided to use six of his debutants in the game, however, they were still defeated 4-0 and the Chilean will be expecting the team to improve massively against Bournemouth next Saturday.
Fernandes was obviously considered to be surplus to requirements under Pellegrini and will be pleased to have secured a move.
The midfielder has struggled to get his career started at West Ham during the two years he has been at the London Stadium outfit, and with a number of players arriving within the midfield, it was likely he would be pushed further down the pecking order.
Fernandes will now be looking to make an impact with Fiorentina as he looks to get his career back up and running.
