The West Ham United fans are gathered at the bar in Thr Transfer Tavern discussing comments made by one of the club’s owners with regards to the possibility of signing a world class striker for next season.
West Ham co-owner David Sullivan revealed to Talksport that he would love to add PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to their ranks for next season.
With the club currently enjoying their best campaign in the league for quite sometime they find themselves just one point of a covered Champions League spot under the guidance of Slaven Bilic.
With Ibrahimovic expected to leave the French champions for pastures new he will become the most sought after player this summer, and Sullivan believes there is no reason why the club can’t compete with others as they head into their new home at the Olympic Stadium next season.
“I’d love Ibrahimovic from PSG, but whether he’d come to us I don’t know. I know he’s 34 but he’s a fantastic player. There are a number of top Premier League players we may be bidding for, top goal-scorers, but I can’t name them. I can’t comment on players from other teams.”
“The squad we have at West Ham now is the best we’ve had in six years, by a long, long way. We will be adding to that squad in the summer and hopefully we’ll be a bit better next year.”
The West Ham fans in The Tavern are delighted that they are being linked with a move for Ibrahimovic and hope that the club can make the move a reality over the summer.
