West Ham confirm the signing of Felipe Anderson

West Ham United have had a productive transfer window and Manuel Pellegrini’s side have managed to attract some of football’s biggest players to join them.

The Chilean, who was appointed as the manager following the decision to let David Moyes go, has been pushing along with his efforts to turn the Hammers into a side that will be competitive in this season’s Premier League.

Pellegrini wants to make his squad capable of a charge challenging for a place in European football and with an attractive style of play and his latest signing will certainly help them achieve their aims.

The club’s official website has announced that Felipe Anderson has joined the Irons for a club record fee, having signed a four-year contract.

The Brazilian becomes the seventh signing of the summer for West Ham, with the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Fabian Balbuena and Jack Wilshere all being added recently to the new look squad.

The Verdict:

The transfer has taken an age to be completed, with thoughts that there were implications about a fee for the Brazil international with SS Lazio, however, they will be delighted to finally have their man at the London Stadium.

Anderson will offer the Hammers some creativity going forward and alongside Wilshere in the middle of the park, should make West Ham a real attacking threat in the Premier League this season.
