West Ham considering move for Bernard

West Ham United are continuing to step up their transfer business this summer and are still looking to add ambitious targets to their squad.

The Hammers have already been surprising many in the Football League with the recruits they have already made, with the club’s spending total verging on almost £100million.

Manuel Pellegrini has managed to get Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabianski, however, it appears that he still wants new faces to join them at the London Stadium.

And, according to a report in the Daily Mirror, West Ham are being considered to make a move for Bernard. The winger is a free agent after having decided to leave Shakhtar Donetsk following the expiration of his contract.

The Hammers are expected to face plenty of competition for the Brazil international, with the 25-year-old thought to have plenty of possible destinations to choose from, including AC Milan.

The Verdict:

Bernard would be a real coup for West Ham this summer if they are able to land him.

The Brazil international is an extremely talented winger and could offer the Hammers some additional attacking threat going forward.

However, it remains to be seen if the London Stadium outfit can land him, especially if clubs that can offer him European football straight away are interested in landing him this summer.
