West Ham considering move for Gary Cahill

West Ham considering move for Gary Cahill

West Ham United have been a mixed bag so far this season under Manuel Pellegrini as they just can’t seem to ensure any consistency.

The Hammers would have set their sights on a European spot after a very busy summer transfer window, but some of the signings are yet to have any impact on proceedings. Although, it looks as if the London club are eyeing another potential addition, as according to the Mirror, West Ham are considering a move for Garry Cahill.

West Ham are considering a January transfer window move for Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

Indeed, the 32-year-old is out of contract next summer and he has suggested he is open to listening to offers in January as he looks for regular first-team football.

Worryingly, the Hammers have kept just one clean sheet in the current campaign, so it comes as no surprise that Manuel Pellegrini is searching for reinforcements.

THE VERDICT:

Gary Cahill has always been a consistent performer throughout his footballing career, but he has struggled to break into the Chelsea side in recent times due to the amount of quality they currently have at the club.
The Hammers will be desperate to bring in defensive reinforcements during the January transfer window after their poor start to proceedings defensively, with the Englishman providing experience and quality.
Indeed, the Englishman has reportedly attracted the interest of the likes of Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Watford and Galatasaray.
