West Ham considering swoop for Celtic’s Olivier Ntcham

West Ham United have been building their squad this summer with some talented players and it appears that Manuel Pellegrini’s recruitment drive has not quite finished.

The new Hammers boss has already signed seven new players to ensure that his London Stadium outfit can challenge for a spot in European football next season and has spent the second most amount of money this summer, behind Liverpool.

He has added the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson, Fabian Balbuena, Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks to his team, however, it appears that he wants to add another midfielder.

According to a report by L’Equipe, West Ham are considering a move for Olivier Ntcham and have made contact with Celtic about the possibility of signing the 22-year-old ace.

The former Manchester City youth graduate has been a mainstay in Brendan Rodgers’ side and has impressed with his performances since he joined the Bhoys in 2017.

The Verdict:

West Ham have already significantly bolstered their midfield options this summer, however, Ntcham would be a solid signing.

The young midfielder can offer both a solid defensive front as well as being effective in an attacking sense after he has scored a number of crucial goals for the Hoops since being in Scotland.

The talented player is expected to continue his rise in the game and with West Ham trying to get him now than rather in the future, it could save them plenty of money.
