West Ham could face tough test to land key summer target, Man Utd could have final say

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are pretty excited at the prospect of Joe Hart moving to the London Stadium…

According to the Telegraph, the Hammers are said to be keen on a move for him, and what’s more, it is also noted that Hart himself would be open to a loan move to the London-based outfit.

Despite being thrust aside by Pep Guardiola, Hart has enjoyed a pretty solid 12 months, impressing whilst on loan with Torino in Serie A. Having rebuilt his confidence and enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance, Hart is clearly looking to kick-start his career once more this summer, and West Ham could be the perfect home for him.

However, in news that will no doubt disappoint the West Ham fans in the pub, it seems as though Jose Mourinho and Man Utd could have a hand in this deal. The Telegraph are reporting that Mourinho is also keen on the Englishman, and there is a very real prospect that he may be recruited as a replacement for David De Gea, should the Spaniard be sold.

Of course, this puts West Ham in a tough spot, as a move to Man Utd is likely to be preferred over a move to the London Stadium.

Hart, then, could go from having no options to being forced to make a huge decision, and our landlord thinks that there may only be one answer for him.

With that said, the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are just hoping that De Gea stays put…
