West Ham could miss out on Emiliano Sala

West Ham United are thought to be interested in adding a striker to their ranks in the winter transfer window.

Manuel Pellegrini already has the likes of Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll, Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez to choose from, however, there are doubts about some of their futures at the London Stadium.

Emiliano Sala is one man that has been touted with a move to join the Hammers, however, it appears they could miss out on the forward.

According to France Football, Cardiff City are thought to be leading the chase for the Argentine striker, who has been in fine form this season for Nantes.

The 28-year-old has found the back of the net 12 times in his 15 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season and the French side are thought to be resigned to losing him at some point in the campaign, whether it be in January or the summer.

The Verdict:

Sala is undoubtedly a man that will be in demand when the transfer window reopens in January and has already attracted plenty of interest in him.

However, with the report suggesting a move to Cardiff appears to be the ‘hottest’ option at the moment, West Ham could miss out on him.

The Hammers’ strikers have found some form recently, however, it remains to be seen whether they will be at the London Stadium once the transfer window is active.
