West Ham had given fans a lot to smile about this season. From transfers for players like Felipe Anderson to brilliant results under Manuel Pellegrini, it’s been a campaign of progression and growth for the Hammers.
However, that doesn’t mean that things at the club are perfect. They lost at the weekend to Cardiff City in what was one of their worst games of the season, and that just shows how far the club have still go to do in pursuit of Premier League glory.
There’s been a lot of causes for frustration at West Ham this term, and most of them have come on the field, just as was the case on Saturday, but the Hammers have also given reason for fans to be angry off the field this week.
We’re building something special, but we can’t do it without you.

Indeed, as highlighted over on the official West Ham Twitter page, season ticket renewals at the London Stadium are now available ahead of next season. There’s a small catch, though, that many West Ham fans online have recognised.
The news has angered plenty of supporters because there’s a fee increase involved, which based on their performances this season, fans don’t seem to think is justified. They also have other concerns, like the fact that the deadline for renewal is before the summer transfer window – meaning that the fans will get no promise of fresh talent until after the fact.
See what plenty of angry West Ham fans have said below:
Misjudged this one massively West Ham. We were promised cheaper tickets and to compete for trophies…we have neither.

Don’t you mean “we can’t do it without you and the price increases”?
— AllSportsView (@AllSportsView) March 12, 2019
Can’t do it without you so we slap a price increase in there and you have to pay it within 2 months and less than a week after the season ends

Why are the renewal deadlines before this season ends. Takes the mick that

This is disgraceful again from the that runs it. No discount for founders and a price increase to . Shameful treatment @davidgold. More bad publicity incoming.

“Something special “…..is that what you call mid table mediocrity ? Tell us why you want us to pay more money to compete with clubs who get 30 thousand less fans every home game as it is
