‘Worst game I have seen him play’ – West Ham fans destroy one man following Watford loss

West Ham supporters were left to drown their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern on Sunday night after seeing the Hammers go down 2-0 to Watford at Vicarage Road, thus inflicting defeat on new manager David Moyes in his first game in charge.

The former Everton and Manchester chief replaced the sacked Slaven Bilic during the international break with the East London outfit in the Premier League’s bottom three, and they remain there after a seventh league defeat of the campaign. Goals either side of half time from Will Hughes and Richarlison secured a comfortable victory for Marco Silva’s side, a result which moved them up to eighth in the division, and left new Hammers boss Moyes with plenty to ponder over the coming days.

Thus, there have been several unhappy West Ham fans in the Tavern in the last few hours, with many already trying to forget Sunday’s woeful display by turning their attentions to Friday night’s huge clash against Leicester City at the London Stadium.

Yet many did take to Twitter in the aftermath of the weekend’s clash at Vicarage Road to express their views on the game, with midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate coming in for heavy criticism for his efforts in Hertfordshire.

The 27-year-old missed two glaring opportunities to bring the Hammers back into the contest either side of half time, and that ultimately cost Moyes’ men at least a share of the spoils from their trip to the Hornets.

And several Hammers fans took to social media to hammer the midfielder…
