West Ham fans on Twitter absolutely loved their setup for Spurs

It’s April, so West Ham beating Tottenham 1-0 is something of a formality. This time in the season in recent years always sees the Hammers overcome the Lilywhites, and given that the Irons got to see a near perfect starting lineup, even if there were some initial complaints that Marko Arnautovic started, the fans were confident from the off.

The Hammers have long been waiting for a centre-back partnership of Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop to return, and when they saw the news that Angelo Ogbonna had been dropped and their favoured pair was returning they were in raptures. The Hammers will now be hoping that they can keep that side together with no injuries, especially seeing how well they played against Spurs yesterday.
If West Ham can put in performances like that from the off next season then there is absolutely no reason why they can’t put together a push for a spot in the Premier League’s top six. By the time the 2018/19 season kicks off they’ll likely have made some more purchases too, and that will give them a really good chance of gaining ground on those top six places.

The Hammers loved their starting eleven against Spurs and will be hoping Manuel Pellegrini keeps it exactly the same for their final clashes with Southampton and Watford.
