West Ham fans on Twitter buzzing with Felipe Anderson’s Burnley romping

When he made a big-money move from Lazio to West Ham, the one question mark hanging over Felipe Anderson was his consistency. The Brazilian livewire has already shown that inconsistency at The London Stadium, but after his Saturday showing the fans are convinced he’s the real deal.

Some of the Hammers had been slating the Brazilian rather unfairly in the last few weeks. After he lit up The London Stadium with his trailblazing display against Manchester United a few weeks back they thought they’d finally got him at his best. Now, though, after a few weeks of mediocrity, today looks to have been the days where a star has been born in claret and blue as the 25-year-old tore Burnley apart.

When preparing for his trip to West Ham, Sean Dyche wouldn’t have banked on Anderson being so good and, in the end, it was the former Serie A man who made the difference as he scored twice during the 4-2 win. He would have had a hat-trick if not for the superb goal-line clearance from Ben Mee in the first-half, although if he puts in more displays like the one he did yesterday then that first Hammers’ treble surely won’t have to wait too long.

The West Ham fans will be keen to see more of Anderson in this form and will hope the boo-boys lay off him when he isn’t living up to his lofty standards.
