West Ham fans have had it good this season in Manuel Pellegrini’s first season haven’t they? The Hammers have loved every minute of it barring an early season slip up as they got over some teething problems. Part of their impressive force has been their work at the back, and with Fabian Balbuena returning from injury, things will only get better.

Positive injury updates for the Irons have been coming thick and fast. First it was Manuel Lanzini making his long-awaited return, then the likes of Winston Reid, Andy Carroll and Ason Cresswell have been getting back to it in first-team training and games. Now, though, it looks like the Hammers’ Paraguayan centre-half will also be making his first-team return soon too.
Pellegrini made the decision over the summer to sign the unheard of 27-year-old defender Fabian Balbuena from Corinthians, and so far whenever he’s played the club has reaped the rewards from his signing. When Pellegrini can rely upon Balbuena and his other new signing at the heart of the defence, Issa Diop, only good things can come from it. Now, with the defender set for a long-awaited return, the fans will be keen to end the season on a high note.

Yes! El Comandante is back! As happy as I am I'm kinda pissed at the same time, Ogbonna has played so well these past few games, he played so bad for the first 5-10 games.

Boom. Great news. Need cressers badly. Although in fairness to him masuaku played well when he came on against newc. Balbuena will b on the bench i feel. Ogbonna and diop playing well together now after a wobbly start.

There is a god!
The Hammers cannot wait to have Balbuena back and will hope the Paraguayan can get back to his best at the back.
