West Ham fans have been given little in the way of transfers this window. The news that Marko Arnautovuc will be staying at the club is positive despite the unnecessary saga around him. However, one departure that looks like happening is Reece Oxford leaving for the Bundesliga, as was confirmed by reliable twitter account, ExWHUemployee.
Yes German clubs plotting moves his career at West Ham is finished https://t.co/iGkqg3lGYa

The young English defensive midfielder looked like he had a real future as a player at West Ham when he started and shone on the opening day of the 2015/16 season against Arsenal in a 2-0 win. However, things haven’t panned out the way the 20-year-old would have hoped for, and it looks like he’ll be on his way to Germany to play in the Bundesliga again.
Oxford has previous experience in the German top flight having played on-loan for Borussia Monchengladbach on a temporary basis throughout the 2017/18 season. The German won’t be the only young English talent out in Germany though, as the likes of Jadon Sancho, Reiss Nelson and Keanan Bennetts are already out there, and it looks like a move to get first-team football will suit the West Ham man who’s failed to kick on since moving up through the academy.

Thank god for that! 20k off the wage bill

What a bizarre situation his career has been at west ham, when he goes any chance of an article ex explaining everything from start to finish of where it all went wrong please? Bad attitude? Bad agent? Boosted ego? Etc etc.

He must have really pissed someone off because with the lack of depth in defence you would really think he would be in with a shout

We need to get rid of all the dead wood from past regimes, and any slackers from the new one. So disappointed in Oxford. His 5 minutes of fame went to his head so quickly.

Shame, he had the chance to be awesome, Rice took his opportunity

Good luck to him but it's time for an all out spring clean at WHU towers surely

Why is it finished you think? Pellegrini never tested him

It is a shame. Because the recent team selections have shown we have no youth defenders worth nurturing and giving a chance to.

The Hammers seem pleased to be letting Oxford go, despite the fact he looked so promising when he first broke through to their first team.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
