West Ham fans on Twitter hate the idea of Mitrovic swoop

West Ham fans are already casting one eye ahead to the summer as they prepare for their final five Premier League games. The Hammers are secure in mid-table with little to play for, leaving the fans pondering summer signings. One fan account on Twitter has suggested Aleksandar Mitrovic as a player, although most Hammers aren’t keen.
Would personally love to see this man with us next season. Replaces both Carroll and Perez for me. Not the fastest player but with the way we play he would do really well for us. pic.twitter.com/GNyfb6OoU4

It’s understandable as to why some fans would be keen to miss out on the Serbian hitman. He may have bagged ten goals for Fulham in the Premier League this season, but his temperament and Fulham’s form have been worrying as he’s starred for the Cottagers, and with reports in The Express that claim he’s set to make a £50 million move to China, what hope do they have anyway?
The argument that West Ham Transfers, a popular West Ham Twitter account, made for wanting to sign Mitrovic is that he would be able to replace both Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll with ease. That may be true, but considering that the Serb is set to be offered £300,000 a week in Asia, if the Irons were to compete with that they’d hardly be cutting their wage bill down, and the goals he’d bring surely aren’t worth that amount of money anyway.

Not my cuppa tea . Can’t see it myself, but maybe I’m wrong

Nah not for me, not exactly the player we should be targeting. He’s just a Carroll from 10 years ago

hell no he is a woodwork

Not the next level we need. If he was that good Fulham would still be in PL next year.

He is exactly the type of player West Ham fans would turn on.

Why don’t we get someone with pace?!?! Seems to work well for other teams

This would not be a step up.. Is this really as good as we’re aiming for – an average striker that couldn’t cut it at Newcastle and has just been relegated..

The Irons are all pretty clear with where they stand on Mitrovic, yet if he does sign they could easily be proven wrong by the Serbian.
