Jack Wilshere is a funny player. The English midfielder has all the talents and ability to make it and star at the very top of the footballing world. However, his entire body is made of glass and the slightest of knocks usually sees him miss weeks of action, so as Manuel Pellegrini has claimed he can be a big player for the Hammers, the fans aren’t so sure.

The former Arsenal man is in his first season at the London Stadium, but at the moment it looks like next season will be more of his debut year considering how few games he’s managed this season. Eight games for the Irons just isn’t good enough for a player of Wilshere’s calibre, and considering that he’s on £100,000 p/w, according to spotrac, it’s just not good enough.
Most of the Hammers would have little problem with Wilshere being cut loose this summer, even if Pellegrini has faith that he can be kept fit and become a good player. His history with injury is just too great a risk, and it will come as no surprise if the former England man, who was once looked at as the best young talent the country had produced, has to end his career prematurely through injury.
You can see what the Irons has to say about Wilshere following Pellegrini’s comments here:
Just a smaller version of Carroll

The Irons have no hope in Wilshere becoming a big player for them and would have little qualms with the player leaving over the summer, even if Pellegrini believes in him.
