West Ham fans on Twitter keen to avoid Cahill signing

Seeing as it’s currently the international break, a lot of fans of Premier League clubs’ fans are looking ahead to the January window for targets. For West Ham fans, the news isn’t great as according to The Mirror, Manuel Pellegrini is keen to add Gary Cahill to the Hammers’ squad seeing as the ex-England man is struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge.

Cahill has been a quality player for Chelsea for a very long time. The 32-year-old is starting to show signs of weakness now and it looks like Maurizio Sarri has made it pretty clear that the defender isn’t in his plans as the centre-back pairing of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger looks to be the Italian gaffers’ first choice at the moment. That could lead to an opportunity for Cahill at West Ham if Pellegrini does table an offer for him.

In his time at the club, Cahill has accumulated two Premier League winners medals, two FA Cup winners medals and a Champions League winners medal and it will be a hard goodbye for the 32-year-old if he does move on. However, if the defender wants to carry on his career in the Premier League then he needs to be playing first-team football and if that’s not something Chelsea can offer him, West ham could be the perfect destination for the defender.

The fans are in agreement that they don’t want Cahill and will be gutted if Pellegrini moves to sign the Englishman come January.
