West Ham should have won 3-1 yesterday against Leicester City. In the 90th minute, Lucas Perez scored what should have been his second of the game after Michail Antonio and Jamie Vardy’s strikes cancelled themselves out, yet Perez’s second was incorrectly ruled out for offside before Harvey Barnes scored an equaliser down the other end.

The Irons have had plenty of games and plenty of points that they should have picked up wrongfully taken away from them by refereeing errors and linesmen who get things wrong. Recent games against Liverpool, Manchester United and now Leicester have seen the Hammers denied points by wrong decisions and the supporters are getting sick of it.
Manuel Pellegrini has got them competing at the right end of the table, and as they find themselves in a battle for 7th place they really could have done with the extra points in recent weeks. By the fans own admission they’ll tell you that recent performances haven’t been good enough when 7th is up for grabs, yet it would be made a whole lot easier if they’d got the rub of the green from refs.
You can read the Hammers’ verdict on yet another injustice here:
2 weeks in a row we’ve been screwed over from dodgy decisions

Our goal was disallowed for no reason, and now they score. Bring me VAR now

Ref costing us another game… what a surprise

Perez was onside, the refs are shocking yet again

Yet again the ref has cost us

The Hammers will be desperate to get to the end of the season and start again in August, especially as VAR will be in the Premier League then.
