West Ham fans on Twitter loved Antonio’s stunning outing

West Ham fans would have been celebrating a well-earned 3-1 win yesterday had VAR been in effect at The London Stadium as they hosted Leicester City. As it was, VAR wasn’t in action and they fell to a 2-2 draw, but as the fans try and find the positives from a frustrating afternoon they only needed look as far as Michail Antonio’s performance.
After last week we wanted to come back with a win and get all three points. So annoying to concede in the last minute. Only positive I can find right now is the thought of that new claret carpet feel. #COYI pic.twitter.com/2jMfY05dCx

Antonio played very well against Leicester and should have been the man of the match lauded after securing all three points for his side. The Hammers went 1-0 up in the first half through Antonio, and it looked like they’d secured all three points when the winger slipped Lucas Perez in behind to score and make it 3-1, although the goal was wrongly disallowed for offside.
The ex-Nottingham Forest winger has got all of the talents to tear through Premier League defences and he gave Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester a real headache. The Foxes were completely outfoxed by the Irons and can count themselves very lucky not to have been beaten, especially when they went into the clash and found themselves up against Antonio in the form that he was in.

Antonio looks slimmer and quicker than ever. Effort through the roof! He is an absolute BEAST. No fear. Playing simple. I LOVE it. #COYI

The Irons were in awe of Antonio yesterday and will hope that the winger can maintain his form from yesterday.
