For 94 minutes yesterday, West Ham looked top class. The Hammers put three past Cardiff City and looked to be well on their way to securing back-to-back 3-0 wins after pumping Newcastle United by that scoreline on Saturday. However, in the final minute of the match, some sloppy defending saw Lukasz Fabianski lose his clean sheet, with Josh Murphy nodding in to make it 3-1.
It's chaos in the box and Murphy nods in. #WHUCAR 3-1 (90+4)

The West Ham Twitter account described the goal as ‘chaos on the box’ amd there really is no better way of putting it. When Cardiff City swung the ball in deep to the back stick it really did look like it would be easily cleared by the Irons, but they made a right hash of it after the ball had bobbled around flicking of heads here there and everywhere, Murphy got the decisive touch to give Cardiff fans something to celebrate.
The goals didn’t ultimately mean anything, but it will have frustrated a lot of West Ham fans who were set on having the perfect start to December of six points from six with six goals scored and two clean sheets. However, it’s not all bad and now, with their next clash being an interesting matchup against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday, the supporters will want to see less sloppy goals as they aim to make it three consecutive wins.

The Hammers were far from happy with the late goal and will hope their side can hold out for the clean sheet next time.
